EXON BACON
Since his early childhood, Exon Bacon has always been passionated by music.Influenced by rythms of Trip-hop, jazz & soul but also by the electronic music vibe from the early 90s, he fastly came to the European techno scene.Exon started to make a name for himself in 2009 when Play Label, one of most prominent promoter collectives in Europe's capital, spotted him and invited him to join the crew.Meanwhile he began taking interest into music production, bought his firsts synthesizors and started to build his own studio.Taking things a step further, Exon began to take care of the artistic direction of several events & concepts of the Brussels' based collectif.
As iconic resident of Play Label, Exon Bacon improved his skills alongside a large range of infamous artists of the underground scene such as Jeff Mills, Robert Hood, Mathew Jonson, Art Department, Max Cooper, Stephan Bodzin, Radio Slave, Nick Curly, Gregor Tresher, Extrawelt, Oliver Huntemann, Butch, Jozif, M.A.N.DY, Lake People, Oskar Offermann... to name a few.
In 2011 Exon Bacon released his first EP on Electronical Reeds label with broad international supports, followed several months later by a second one called Shapes of Time with remixes by Martin Patino and Dave Ellesmere confirming his production skills and taking a forefront place in the label's roster.
In 2013 he decided to create his own recording label with the Play Label Crew and became the label manager of Play Label Records.
He inaugurated it with a Vinyl release, 'Watching Dogs' remixed by Villanova, Yooj and Dc Salas & supported by some of the big names of the techno scene including Timo Maas & Troy Pierce. This first release sets up the artistic direction of this label from Dark house to deep house right through deep techno that seeks to develope a real eclectic dancefloor approach and a strong party spirit.
Lastly Exon made a remix on DkA's track 'Landing at night' which has been greeted by some well known artists of the undergournd scene and started a new collaboration with this last by releasing an Ep on Andreas Henneberg's label Voltage Musique.
